The Chef who cooked for Tina Turner and Manchester United welcomed The Order
of Knights of Wine

4 June, Borovets. The boutique Lodge Hotel welcomed the members of The Bulgarian Chapter of The European Order of Knights of Wine to a special gourmet dinner and degustation. Two new wines from the Todoroff winery were presented for the first time at the dinner.

The menu was prepared by Mr. Andre Tokev, Chef at Hilton Sofia and was created to match each Todoroff wine that accompanied the six courses, especially the two new wines, 'Magic Todoroff' and '5 years Todoroff Jubilee wine'. Both wines impressed the special guest from London Mr. Andrew Henderson.

The guests were delighted by the skill of The Lodge Hotel Chef Andrey Kasev who cooked on the night. In his biography you find famous names as guests of places where he has worked. Andrey or Andrew as everybody calls him, has over eight years experience and has prepared menus for Manchester United, many British celebrities, and on cruise ships where he once cooked for Tina Turner.

The special guest at the dinner Mr. Andrew Henderson is a member of the Spanish National Wine Order - the Gran Orden de Caballeros del Vino - and was also a past Chairman of the Circle of Wine Writers. He expressed freely his "admiration for the wines so perfectly matched by the food" and addressed his greetings both to Mr. Ivan Todoroff, owner of Todoroff Wine Cellar and the General Manager of The Lodge Hotel, Mr. Christos Tectonidis and his team who were warmly congratulated.

Mr Ivan Todoroff clearly enjoying the evening said "how extremely happy I am to be here with my friends and partners. Thank you for your hospitality and I can freely declare that from this moment on this hotel is my hotel in Borovets. Please, enjoy our wines, especially '5 years Todoroff Jubilee Wine'. This wine will be a part of Todoroff Wine Cellar's history together with "Magic" our other new premiere wine.

Among The Order of Knights of Wine were Svetoslav Djambov, honorary consul of Malaysia; Emil Mitov, the owner of UNO restaurant, arch; Georgi Kolarov, project manager Bulgarconsult Architects and engineers; Kamen Kitchev, manager Austrian Airlines; Rayko Belopitov, manager BPS: Maxim Behar, CEO M3 Communications Group Inc. as well as many other business representatives.

The Lodge Hotel opened in January this year as a winter Ski centre with its Sky School and Ski depot, where guests select from over 500 ski boots and some of the most modern equipment for skiing, in this the most popular ski resort in Bulgaria.
